An LMS can provide rich analytics and reports that help teachers better understand what’s happening with their students, how they’re progressing through classes, and when students are struggling. Here are some of the most common and useful analytics within an LMS:
Using technology to set up an interlinked ecosystem between the school, students, and their parents, where there is regular communication and transparency, requires just a bit of effort at the beginning and the right platform to support this. However, doing this will make a positive difference for everyone involved.
We need to make sure that when students finish school, they are equipped with the skills they need to thrive in the outside world, in what will be a highly technological workplace. Technical skills are important, but also soft skills that shape how students think and react to the world. The classroom is the training ground for them to be ready for the future.
Classroom engagement serves more purposes than simply delivering better learning outcomes. As routine settles in, and the novelty of school fades, teachers have to find new ways to engage students. The 4Cs of education offer excellent examples for achieving this. At the same time, schools should strive to optimize the classroom environment and be more attuned to external factors that might disrupt engagement.
The use of AI in education will pave the way to numerous possibilities. If educators are able to delegate their repetitive and most time-consuming tasks to intelligent technology, they’ll focus more on other more complex or creative problems and build better interpersonal relationships with their students. So the question “Will AI replace teachers?” should have no place in any conversation about education.

Virtual Reality has taken by storm the education field, and why wouldn’t it? It’s a great tool to engage students and its benefits are far more numerous than its shortcomings. It can be used for almost every teaching subject and the student engagement that it creates it’s immeasurable. Perhaps in the future LMSs will have some built-in VR courses.
Although the use of technology in the classroom has increased significantly during the last years, there are still educators that struggle with it, that feel left behind, and don’t know how to include it in their instruction. The worst part is that there are some teachers that completely refuse to use any educational technology.
There are LMS vendors that describe their products as being user friendly, sometimes that is nowhere near the truth. When it comes down to defining the design of an LMS, terms such as intuitive, easy to use, responsive, and many others tend to mean a different thing to each vendor. But they shouldn’t, right? There should be some standards that each vendor should follow before labeling their LMS user friendly.
Do you prefer your students to learn just because they have to, in order to get a grade, or would you like them to learn because they actually enjoy it? An LMS with a beautiful user interface can improve the learning process and make students — and teachers — more engaged. Visual and interactive elements have the power to keep things interesting and prompt students to actually be excited about learning.
